| RescuePet was delighted to
receive the following story from Alyson at GSD Rehoming North
East:
"What about this for a success story?!!:-))
2 days ago a friend of mine from the Midlands told me of a
3 legged GSD she had rescued from the local dog shelter
(Hopsie is his name). He was in danger of being put to sleep
if no home could have been found, so Dawn adopted him from
them and set about finding a home herself.
"She emailed me to ask for advice and I put his details on
our rescue web site under the heading of "Other dogs we know
of". Last thing I really expected was a response. I imagined
it would take *ages* if at all, to find a home for a disabled
dog.
"Anyway, within 12 hours, Dawn had 2 phone calls from
people who had seen the dog . They had got to our site via the
Rescue Pet database search.
"Today she has visited one of the people and Hopsie is
tonight, in his new home complete with new doggie friend and
humans.
"We are all very excited by the news and hope it continues
to work well for the lad" RescuePet applauds Hopsies new
owners for their kindness and compassion in taking on such a
special dog and wishes Hopsie and his new owners all the best
for the future.
