Rocky, the German Shepherd Dog, urgently needs your help.

Rocky spent the last year living a lonely existence in a Scottish boarding kennel with no apparent realistic prospect of being given the chance to share his life with a family. The doggie friend and guide who went in with him was rehomed, but no one wanted Rocky. Linda Kitson heard about Rocky a few weeks ago, and within 3 days we had found him a home. His new mum and dad are fantastic people. They deserve a medal.

Rocky is a fantastic dog! He has the most loving nature and I know that you couldn't resist giving him a hug if you were to see him. Who could not love that face?

It is estimated that Rocky is now 6 years old. We do not know how Rocky came to loose his right eye. Sadly, a dense cataract has formed on his left eye and he has been unable to see for at least the last 12 months and maybe even longer.

Rocky has been taken to the vets for an eye examination. His left eye behind the cataract is working well and with surgery, Rocky stands an 80-85% chance of regaining his sight. The cost of this surgery will be £500 - £650 depending upon whether a replacement lens is fitted. A replacement lens will increase the chance of success by a further 3%.

Rocky is one of the most sweet natured dogs we have ever met. He has so much to offer. Recently, through our contacts we were able to find Rocky a new home. With your help, we would now like to help Rocky to regain his sight.
