| There are so many sad cases
that we hear about at RescuePet, so we are delighted to be
able to share the good news from from Greyhound Compassion about Freddie!
Sally Slater from Greyhound Compassion tells RescuePet:
"Freddie arrived at Greyhound Compassion suffering terribly from
demodectic mange. He had lost all his fur and his skin was
pillar box red and weeping. He was treated for the mange but
his reaction to the shampoo that destroys the mites nearly
killed him. The vet said that it was unlikely we could cure
him and so we should put him to sleep. "
"With careful planning and treatment with steroids prior to
his treatment, Freddie was cured and now is covered in lovely
white fur."
"Freddie now has a lovely home and lives with Amy, a greyhound from our kennels. "
RescuePet congratulates Greyhound Compassion for their wonderful work
with Freddie and wishes them the best of luck finding homes
for their other greyhounds and lurchers.
