What is RescuePet? RescuePet is a non-profit organisation. Operational costs are raised through corporate sponsorship and affiliate marketing. The RescuePet Internet database is a free service for both shelters and public visitors. The RescuePet system consists of two interfaces, one for the rescue shelters to use to upload details and photos of animals in their care and one for the public to use to search that database. What is RescuePet not? RescuePet is not intended for use by breeders, shops or anybody seeking to take financial advantage of animals. RescuePet seeks only to help rescue organisations find good homes for pets. We do not intend the system to be used for "on-line" adoptions. We expect organisations to implement their usual high standard adoption procedures. RescuePet objectives To provide a central system where UK rescue shelters can enter details of animals in need of good homes and the public can search to find the animal that suits them. Use RescuePet.net if you are thinking of taking on a pet. Tell other people about RescuePet.net and encourage them to use the site if they are thinking of taking on a pet. Put links to RescuePet.net on your own web site and encourage people to use them. Make RescuePet.net your home page so you can catch any news or appeals. Use our Auctions page. We will receive a small commission from the auctioneers which will help pay to keep this system running. Find out if your local shelter is using RescuePet. If not, please tell them about it!
